Bright House

Hi, having done a quick search of the forums, I havent seen any mention of Bright House, and was hoping for some advice please.
We've currently half a dozen items on hire purchase from them. The payments with Service Cover, total £56 a week.
Now over a year ago I took out home contents insurance because I was told that Bright House would knock off the Service Cover from the weekly payments. They haven't done so. Even when the insurance expired, they threatened to put the Service Cover back on unless new policy documents were shown.
What happened? The payments remained unchanged of course, which led me to believe that the service cover was still being charged. (Quick comparison with the same item prices on Bright House website shows our payments are actually higher!)
So, Im not sure what to do next. I did send back one of the items last week. But having paid so much off the other items, I am loathe to lose any more money by sending them back.
Is it realistic to expect Bright House to remove the Service Cover charges, despite us already having current home contents insurance with accidental damage cover?
