Hello,
I'd like to find out more about knocking down a house and build a couple of new houses in its place. Does anyone know of a helpful website (for starters!) or have any advice? I'm on an information quest as I don't know much about it yet - only that I would need a house plan, some builders, lots of money from the bank (!), and a building consent from the council...
Thanks

first plan of action is to see the town planning office, see if its got any chance of being accepted!Anything I write is based on my opinion only. Before acting upon any advice from anyone on a forum further professional advice should be sought.0

You might want to consider a couple of other options.
1. Get planning permission for 2 properties on the site, and then sell it.
2. Get planning permission, clear the site, and then sell it.
Neither requires as big a loan, and could still be very lucrative.
