You will have to connect it with a VGA cable assuming your TV has a connection at the back:

In which case you need to buy something like:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Metre-Black-Cable-Laptop-Monitor/dp/B002N2KY54/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1280685503&sr=8-5
If you want sound you will need one of these:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/3m-3-5mm-Jack-Cable-Premium/dp/B001I17MOW/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1280685533&sr=1-2
Simply connect the VGA cable to your TV, put it on the appropriate channel and choose the TV output on your laptop (FN key + F5 on the Acer Aspire One)
Hope this helps. If my post helped you in anyway, please hit the "Thanks" button! Please note any advice I give is followed at your own risk!0 -

There is normally a key combination to press to switch the output options on the laptop. Look for a picture of a monitor (normally just looks like a box in a box) on the function keys at the top. That should switch through the different settings.. you may need to press it with a Fn key or something. Varies quite a lot between laptops.
*UPDATE* Apparently it's Fn + F5 to cycle through the display settings. Good luck.0 -
