dvd will not record on pc

pls help
my dvd burner on my pc will not burn.
it reads ok and also says its recording and goes through the procedure but the discs are still blank.
i have tried nero realplayer and others i have also tried to unistall programs and updated my driver (i thought that should solve it)
but nothing seems to work. (although i still think its the driver)
any thoughts

http://www.afterdawn.com/software/ youll find an array of software from here to solve your problem. I would advice downloading the driver for your DVD burner, go to driverguide.com youll find it there.
