Discount on Newspapers

My politics teacher mentioned that previous students have been able to get discounts on daily newspapers, can anyone help me out on this?

I can't find it anywhere on the net.

I think it may just be available to politics students, as they need to keep up with the news.

I believe you can get The Times for 20p from campus shops, or elsewhere with vouchers you can get from the timesonline site.

    Cheers, I'll have a look.
  • Plus you might find certain departments do deals. i.e. Accounting & Finance do the Financial Times for 20p.

Usually you will also find that there is also student subscriptions for certain magazines/newspapers. i.e. I subscribe to The Economist who do a student rate.
  • you can get a student subscription on most non-tabloid papers, and all campus shops do a mon-friday student price.
  • Brilliant :) read the times every day

Anyone know which retailers accept these vouchers? co-op? Asda? etc.

All shops I have been too take the vouchers(all supermarkets, small newsagents etc) but I tend to buy from the campus shop when I am at uni.
  • also if your uni is having freshers fairs etc, there are usually newspaper people handing out stacks of those vouchers as well as assorted things like times bottle openers!
