Cheapest fares to Cornwall please?

Hi,

Could someone possibly point me in the right direction for cheaper tickets for 2 adults with no railcards, from Sandy to Falmouth Docks, Cornwall on the 1st October 2010 to 8th October 2010?

The cheapest I have found is £154 for two adults, but when we went last year, we got them for around £94!

I'd rather not go via the split-ticketing route in case there's a hiccup with a train being late (as Martin points out).

Can be done for £110 without split ticketing but the times of train are very anti-social to say the least;

Sandy to Falmouth Docks 1st Oct dep 05.41 arr 13.14 advance single £75
Falmouth Docks to Sandy 8th Oct dep 17.27 arr 01.34 advance single £35

I know you said you'd rather avoid splitting, but if you leave a long enough gap it can be quite good.

How about...

Dep Sandy 09:15, arr Plymouth 14:36. Advance Single (for two) = £56.00.
Look around Plymouth for 2-3 hours.
Dep Plymouth 17:26, arr Falmouth Docks 19:24. Advance Single (for two) = £15.00.

Dep Falmouth Docks 08:50, arr Plymouth 10:41. Advance Single (for two) = £6.00.
Lunch in Plymouth for 4 hours or more.
Dep Plymouth 15:00, arr Sandy 20:07. Advance Single (for two) = £47.00.

Total = £124.00.

Thankyou wealdroam , that's very interesting, stopping off in Plymouth to stretch our legs would be good. I can't bring up the website though, it says Internet Explorer can't display the page for some reason.
