Best bike carrier for saloon & hatchback?
Hi all
We need a bike carrier that will fit both of our cars, one is a saloon and one is a hatchback - what's our best option? Went to Halfords yesterday but they only had a strap option and the salesman didn't seem confident it would fit both cars.
Ideally, the easiest to fit and remove (as and when we need to) the better!!
Thanks in advance,
L-J

Try http://saris.com/bike-racks/vehicle-racks/trunk-racks.html , particurlarly the Bones models, they get good write ups and fit most cars.0

Which bike carrier do you have ? I have been looking this week to get one for a towbar (not yet fitted to car) and am torn between Atera Strada £374 approx for the 4 bike version and the Mottez 4 bike carrier £200. Did consider Thule but the reviews I read seem to say that the Atera is better for the same price. Just need to decide if the extra for the Atera is worth it over the Mottez one.:footie: Rando0 -
Remember that if you go the towbar route, or any route which mounts it on the back of the vehicle, that you will need a light bar with a registration plate on as well as the bikes obscure the lights and numberplate and is thus an offence to drive a vehicle in such a manner.0
