Atlantic Electric and Gas
Has anyone heard of these guys? Does anyone use them?
I'm looking at uswitch and they have come up the cheapest in my area (Staffordshire). I'm currently with powergen.
I guess I just want to know if this particular company are quite steady with their prices or if they change alot? Before I switch , obviously....

Yes been with Atlantic for a few years and they have always been at or near the top of the list for me. Why does everybody use uswitch? Try ukpower which seems to be a much better site to me with a useful price updates page, where you will see that Atlantic last put upo their prices 1st May. Remember that you get one months DD payments refunded to you, as an annual loyalty payment, worth 8.333%

I did remember that Atlantic were a bit of a problem not too long ago,but now they have been taken over by Scottish & Southern(S&S) Energy it would appear that they are doing a better job.
I remember you had to be with Atlantic for a year to get your % off.I wonder if that has changed.
I guess an announcement will be made shortly for them to put up their price by at least 10% for Electricity and 15% for Gas as a minimum.
Good Luck.Remember, good cashback deals like £30 using www.Quidco.com to Powergen for new transferred customers.Once my £30 is paid,I too maybe off.0 -
atlantic guarantee no price rises again in 2006 - i've been with them 4 years and have had to chase them a bit harder each year for 1 month dd rebate but its always eventually been paid0

We have been with them for a few years now and haven't had any problems at all. i don't pay my bills by DD; by quarterly cash/chq but they also give you a couple of quid off your next bill for being a 'prompt payer'...better than nothing i s'pose!!Buy nothing for a month challenge - Oct
