Oooh - did any of you watch Martin Clunes - Horsepower? It was amazing!!! I am soooo jealous that he gets to do stuff like that. Goes off to count pennies to find out if I could afford to go to the trust technique for horses workshop....(and yes there is one for the dogs too...sighs...)

Hi Everyone.....hope we are all well. I will read back but for now just wanted to say `hi`.

Not been on here for ages & ages!! I`m also trying to cut down on my internet usage so I may pop in here more often to save me getting drawn into confrontation on my `usual` board....I try & keep the peace over there but usually just end up getting dragged down by it all.

Well I am now approaching the anniversary of the day I started my AFness. 29th Aug 2009.....the day I decided that enough was enough & I took back the control of my life. Its been the hardest year with the debt stuff, moving home & the new jobs !!....but through it all I have been determined not to allow my life to be ruled by the contents of a bottle & my own weaknesses.

I know how hard the drink is to beat & to everyone who is in the midst of their own `battle` then stay strong & take a day at a time....has taken me 20 years to get to this stage.

Have a good week & I will try & get in to see you all more often.

    Evenin' all.

Sorry I've been off for so long...this fixing stuff takes ages!
agree about the taking years to get to a point---I got to my point after many little steps of little decisions that could have gone other way at the time but they fell a certain way and that was that.

For years, every so often I asked myself for help - someone to help me be good, strong and myslef.

Someone who could fix it all for me.

This is a tough one, agreed but I was really lookign for the true me to come along and tough it out - I knew it wouldn't be easy and that was one reason why I kept putting it off...

Yes it has sometimes been awkward and meant sayign no sometimes. But you get used to it.

You understand yourself more and others - we don't row much at all now. Yes I get annoyed but things get fixed not left broken.

    Take care all.

    I can't sleep :(

Would you believe I've had 2 weeks off and slept like a baby and the one night I need to set my alarm to get up at 6am and I lay awake since 2.30am
