Act by Sage 2010 or 2011 - Help not got a clue

Hi, I know nothing about software and need help please. My friend has been using Act by Sage 2010 and says its brilliant. I would like to buy it but the new version 2011 is coming out in September and wondered whether to hang on till then. I have no idea how much it will be when first launced but at the mo and I could probably purchase the 2010 version for approx £ 130. Do you think it will be mega expensive? I think you can preorder it in the states for approx
$ 120 which would be so much cheaper than the uk. I have family in the states - do you think I could get them to buy if for me and ship it over, would it work? Many thanks
