. Britain has always been a nation of immigrants, but until 1948 these were overwhelmingly white Europeans from Christian nations, with similar cultural norms to ours. How many women with burkhas would you see on the streets of London in 1935?.The result is that soon we will see mass immigration from muslim countries where no such political correctness exists. "White Christian European" immigration is OK...... But Muslims are not.
So what about White European Muslims? Are they OK to let in?
Or Christian Arabs? What about them?
What about Hindu Indians, or Buddhist Asians? And why are they different to Pakistani Muslims?
Oh, and Catholic Africans, or Voodoo Cubans? Are we worried about a conflict of crucifixes and chicken sacrifices?
Native Americans perhaps?
And are athiests to be allowed from anywhere?
And what about the French? Are the french of north african muslim descent to be banned whilst white catholic parisiennes are allowed entry?

It doesn't matter where immigrants come from as much as state policy towards how immigrants should be integrated into society.
You're kidding yourself or not very well travelled if you seriously think that current government policy isn't resulting in de facto segregation and ghettoisation at many levels.
It depends if you think that Britain should have a sense of national identity and distinct culture or a heterodox collection of different cultures/languages/self-identifying nationalities....or you just care about house prices going up.0 -

Ah, I see...... So immigrants from anywhere are OK now so long as they are properly "integrated into society".
Well give me some specific examples. What do you mean exactly?
If you mean they should all learn to speak at least some basic English and learn about our cultural values, I don't think many people would find that unreasonable.
If you mean they should all respect the laws of the land, and make an effort to participate in society, then I don't think anyone would find that unreasonable either.
However as all of those things now happen in the vast majority of cases, I rather suspect that isn't what you mean at all.....You're kidding yourself or not very well travelled if you seriously think that current government policy isn't resulting in de facto segregation and ghettoisation at many levels.
Yeah, right. Cause we'd never build a bl00dy great wall with barbed wire on top to segregate different native born communities.
Oh wait....
And of course, our own white native born population are models of virtuous integration, with never a segregated ghetto in site......

Britain is already a collection of different cultures/languages/self-identifying nationalities. Our road signs are in three different languages, we have such different self-identifying nationalities that we've spent the last thousand years slaughtering each other on a grand scale, and still do in some parts today. We have Scottish nationalists, Irish nationalists, Welsh nationalists, and English nationalists all actively campaigning for the break up of the Union.
Nationalistic terrorism from native born white christians has killed more people in this country than islamic terrorism ever will, and our "distinct culture" is such that we will happily riot in the streets and attack/maim/kill our fellow native born citizens over something as trivial as whether or not a small leather ball was kicked between two posts in a muddy field by people wearing red or blue. All actions that most immigrants would find deeply abhorrent.
