Can anyone help?
My friend is having a crisis bless her so thought i'd throw it open to the wider forum for assistance.
She is in the same situation as most of us and her dog has just hurt her eye requiring an operation of a staggering £3100!!!!
Insurance company say £560 excess as over a certain amount!!
She cannot afford this and is on DRP already. Has anyone got any ideas?
thankyou in advance.

Can you ring RSPCA for advice - I do not know if PDSA still exists, or even if you have a local branch, but they would treat animals for free.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

The PDSA might be able to help if she qualifies - more info here http://www.pdsa.org.uk/page112.html0

no not yet rogz, i'll get her to do that. Hope they may help, it's sad that people who work but are on low incomes and can't necessarily afford it aren't given the same help people on benefits are.debt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0

maybe the vet would allow her to pay in installments if she can't get any other help? I've heard of some doing this, on an 'unofficial' basis.0

Could your friend get a second opinion? Also is the op to save the eye?I have plenty of willpower - it's won't power I need.

My vet was brilliant about paying my bill of £880 but think that was because it included putting my cat to sleep. I paid over 4 months0
