help cheap accom near gatwick fam 4

hiya,
we r flying out from gatwick on the 26th sept 7am,we would like to stay on the 24th and 25th,near here,we managed to get travellodge for after we land back in uk for £26,but its £59 per night before we go,we r on a bit of a budget,would like to pay up to £30 per night if poss,any help would be great,ta.

I may be wrong, but the only HOTEL I know of under £30 is Travelodge (which you've already tried!!).

You could try https://www.priceline.co.uk and name your price but with taxes added onto the bid price I doub't it will be under £30 all-in.

BTW Gatwick is very busy in the morning, even the shuttle buses from the hotels get stuck in the traffic, allow extra time for this.

Skylane Hotel in Horley (about 10mins from gatwick) normally quite cheap, and often do late deals on rooms

If you can't get in anywhere else, I can highly recommend the Premier Lodge. We stayed there in April and I couldn't fault it. It's within walking distance of the airport if you just have hand luggage (we flew down from Newcastle and had night-before check in!).

We used this is August. Very nice people 10 mins from Gatwick. They charged us £75 for a family room for the night, then drove us to Gatwick in their car, looked after my car for 2 weeks and picked us up when we flew back. Breakfast included. lovely place to stay too and all cheaper than a car park alone.

all i hung on and for a few days,and every now and then their room prices change, kept refreshing the travel lodge site,and hey presto i got the gatwick for £26 for the monday family room ,:T so happy:T ,just gotta wait and see if the monday comes through as well if not just book into 1 a bit further,anyway thanks for all your help xxxxxxx
