Hi all,
I`ve just ordered this box http://www.humaxdirect.co.uk/product.asp?ProdRef=10076&cat=&page=2#reviews to replace my sky box, i`m currently looking at cables to connect the new box to my television and i`ve worked out that i need a hdmi to dvi-i convertor, what i can`t work out is if the connections are male/female for both the telly and the new box. Also i`m a bit stuck on what i would need to send the sound from the new box to the tv.
If anyone can take a quick peek at the two diagrams of the rear connections and advise me i would be grateful.

It's slightly hard to tell because the TV rear view is a diagram not a photo - but it looks like you need a normal HDMI male plug at the Humax end, and a male DVI-I at the other. You can tell for sure by looking at the back of the TV - if the DVI-I connector is a socket with no pins visible then the above should be correct.
Something like this suit?:

I'm not sure about the sound - at the Humax end you just need a pair of phono plugs, but the other is less clear. Probably a 3.5mm stereo jack plug, but can't be sure there.0 -
Thanks
i`ll pull the telly out tonight and see if i can tell if the DVI has pins or not.
Thanks again

You could of course, just use a Scart lead, however that will not give you any HD.
Strange that a TV doesn't appear to have any HDMI sockets?0
