The link you posted to is different to the model you said it was. You said it was 23334, but the link is to 12205, which is £119.99 online, and also that price in my local store.
I didn't see any at such a reduced price you've sai about.

Possibly a glitch which is now corrected, or just at your local store??

Same in mine. And that was the same as its online price.

I had this George Forman machine and loved it....

Then it developed a fault... whenever I closed the lid the machine would cut out. I sent it back to the manufacturers and they sent me another. Exactly the same thing happened again a few months later.

I Bought a breville from argos for the same price and it "feels" better... it feels bloody great infact, like a professional machine.

The Foreman is a good machine... and at £30/£40 you can't go wrong if it lasts a couple of years. but I'd get a breville if I ever got re-incarnated and transported back to 2008.

  • Well, the original price of £120 seems way, way over the top. Surely these should only be about £30 anyway?

As a money saving tip, I'd perhaps suggest using the grill that comes with most ovens that the majority of people have. Not having a go at anyone who has one of these, just making a suggestion as this is a money saving forum.

nope, you couldn't be more wrong. They were originally £120. then currys did them for about £80. then £70. This is a good deal and obviously much better than a normal grill.

Sorry - when I posted the link I just looked at the site and choose the one that looks exactlly the same as I bought - and it was the only one for that price. The code I got from the receipt.

I bought this one in Ayr. Hopefully someone manages to get one :o

Food can cook in about a quarter the time. I don't know about anyone else but I bung the food on & then start it up. It's in contact with both sides & NOT heating up a large oven as well. Therefore I'd say it's pretty money saving on electrical costs.

Food tastes SO much better as it's not swimming in fat so much better for your health.

I must admit after really seeing all the fat that comes out of burgers (not that we ate many anyway) and some sausages, that we are now eating a lot more healthily. It does spicy bean burgers a treat - far better than grilled or pan fried. Somehow it also seems to make just about everything taste better.

We've started eating healthy cooked breakfasts with tomatoes, mushrooms, home made hash browns & going to try some quorn bacon or sausages to go with them tomorrow. Prior to having our grill we rarely did cooked breakfasts - but now it's SO quick + healthier. A good alternative to normal porridge or oatibix. I just wish we'd bought a slightly bigger one as we are using it so much.
Personally I think it's a waste putting on a huge grill for few items.
