Building up no claims bonus as an additional driver
Which insurance companies let you do this? According to this article, Direct Line and Aviva do.

However, is this NCB only for their own policies or can it be taken elswhere?
Eg
YES TO:
Year 1 - Aviva - Person A main driver and Person B additional (no accidents +1 NCB)
Year 2 - Aviva - Person B main driver (can used the +1 NCB)
or
YES TO:
Year 1 - Aviva - Person A main driver and Person B additional (no accidents +1 NCB)
Year 2 - OTHER insurance company - Person B main driver (can used the +1 NCB)
or does it depend on the future different insurance company itself?

Hi deutsch,
I wrote the article on fancyAcar that you referred to in this thread and to answer your question, the NCB that you earn as a named driver cannot be transferred to a different insurance company. You can only use it with the same insurer when you get a policy in your own name.
You can leave comments on fancyAcar articles or ask questions using the question/answer system if your query is not related to any article. You're bound to get a faster response there as this is our area of expertise
