Hallo everyone going away on Monday but have a problem am suspecting a mate of mine took with him a set of keys he didn't actually steal them but av got a strong suspicion he did cause he knows am taking my family away next week so he basically wants to bring his female friend or friends to mine. Now I only discovered the missing key today and at the hospital am attached to at present it takes a while to get keys changed too much bureaucracy, so what options have I got I can't change the locks, but I vaguely remember my parents using key blockers ages ago. Basically how they worked was buying the so called key blocker and inserting it into the key hole, now am not sure if these are still available so requiring your knowledge please, as that's the best option I have.

Nothing found for key blocker,You could always block the door up and leave through the back. You could change the lock,or if you have the money but no time superglue then call a locksmith when you get back.Ask a neighbour to keep an eye out and phone the local police station so they are aware.0

Can you just change the cylinders, rather than the locks? If it's likely to cause a problem then you can always swap them back before you move out.import this0

Why not just leave your key inside the lock and leave through the back door.
He wouldn't be able to get his key in to unlock the door.0 -
If he took the front door keys then put the key you have in the lock(inside) he wont be able to use the front door.Exit back door.If he has keys to both then you need to change the locks. If its a euro cylinder lock just go and buy a replacemnet barrel/cylinder,just buy the correct offset..
Failing that just lock your bedroom door, at least he can't use your bed;)0 -
thanks guys unfortunatly, am on the first floor, so no back door, the cheeky git, has a girlfriend, and i know exactly, what he is planning lol, so unfortunatly, no back door, and will look into this euro burrel, but like av said, i am limited, in terms of what changes, i can make in the place?, so this key blocker concept, is not possible, av tried googling, but am only getting computer related results, which am not surprised, as the computer related products appear, to have taken a lead.0

av just rushed home, to have a look, its a union lock, and how it works, is basically, you can only use, the key, tolock or unlock, the door, from the outside, wants you are in you wont be able to use the key to lock, but you just have to turn, a tiny handle, and the door, gets locked. sO am now hoping for that barrel changing option, whats the best place, to go to get this done, cause lock smiths, are not allowed:mad:,on the site, so can i go somewhere, to buy this burrel?0
