Thanks for the congratulations everybody! The cakes were indeed very yummy, they're my favourites as they've got a marshmallow melted inside & mini marshmallows in the icing! Needless to say I've got 4 happy bridesmaids...

Doodledoodle24, I made the flags myself in Adobe Illustrator. There's plenty of templates knocking around the web though - I think Martha Stewart's website has some. I'd be happy to e-mail out my template if anybody wants it.

  • Ah, i just googled adobe illustrator, and its not a free one:( not very moneysaving to buy it just to make those flags! lol
Looked on the martha stewart website too, they dont have any except 4th july ones, that are square.

Im not very technical minded, can i use any of the microsoft office programmes to make these?

I'm not sure really as I don't use them all that much... I can e-mail you an image of the flag that can be opened in any program though if you let me know if there's any changes you want making beforehand - won't take me five minutes, it just means the text won't be editable.

Dizzie77, I did indeed make them myself! I won a cupcake competition at my local farmers market not long ago, and now I'm doing it as a little business. Only done one stall at at carnival so far, but getting there slowly!

I would also like the recipe....!!
Not got the patience to do it as a business - although I have two friends who do exactly that (one in Gloucester and one in London).

Well done you - you should have a word with Horace too - she is always looking for decent suppliers for her events.

firstly - congrats on the engagement and getting your 4 bridesmaids that you wanted!

secondly - i'd love to have the template, me and OH are thinking of having a wedding cake but also some cupcakes for the younger kids (and the adults that are big kids) and i think they would be great to put in them for our big day.

thirdly - i would also love the marshmallow cupcake receipe they sound lush (although i think my weight watcher leader wouldn't be happy with me for making or eating them :rotfl:)
