Quick question

Introuction
I've been an idiot.

Elaboration
Missed first miniumum payment on my new credit card. It's due tomorrow so I've just paid online, but I did not realise that it will take a few days to transfer

Faster Payment?
My question - is there any way out of this i.e. some faster transaction I can carry out? Or do I just 'live with the mistake'.

Credit History?
I've missed a first minimum payment once before on another card. How badly will my credit rating be affected? Some reassurance that it's not the end of the world would be appreciated, absolutely kicking myself right now!! :( (I realise some are in a far worse position, but what bugs me is that this could have been so easily avoided)

Conclusion
I've been an idiot. :T

Why does it matter? I'm not a big fan of giving away too much information, regardless of how harmless it appears to be.

OP it matters because different card issuers sometimes apply rules in different ways. If you are asking for help you do need to give up some info.

Because some cards accept FPs and some don't.

Still, hopefully 20 odd people will post their own experiences and one of them will have a card like your own. Like I said...hopefully. ;)

By the way, you've missed a closing heading/section in your OP...

    Recommendation

Set up a minimum payment direct debit...and never pay late again.

An easy google search told me the answer and I would delete that second post if you lot hadn't have pounced to fill the blind spot/gaping hole in my financial knowledge. But thanks for the replies.

I'm clearly just going to have to live with it, and I'll find out in due course what problems if any I've caused myself. And post back then, begging for help.

Shame you didn't google first before having a pop on people here.

I do hope any promotional offer is withdrawn from you.
