Also, i will be writing to the credit card company (alliance and leicster....care of MBNA) to get a reason asto why a 3 year old expired card was abled to make a transaction...wish me luck, and ill report when i get some news
I vaguely recall something on another thread about something similar. I believe the poster said it was a standing order, not a direct debit as they thought (also a yearly charge) and that there was something in his agreement with cc company that they would fufill SO's - even on expired/closed cards.
It may or may not be the same. Might want to check your T&C's with the bank though
