    I vaguely recall something on another thread about something similar. I believe the poster said it was a standing order, not a direct debit as they thought (also a yearly charge) and that there was something in his agreement with cc company that they would fufill SO's - even on expired/closed cards.

    It may or may not be the same. Might want to check your T&C's with the bank though :) GL
