Bought car part - car wont operate with it

Hi,

Bought car part online from a recommended supplier (on car specialist forum) Car wont operate with said part fitted (works better with old one)
Have emailed the guy twice. No response. I know he has been online as he has replied to questions on the above mentioned forum.

What do I do now? Post on the forum?

If it was Paypal, and you did not send payment as a Gift, i would file a dispute..

Land Rover Discovery. Mass Air Sensor. Discovery wont start with new part. Starts ok with old one! Reason for getting new one is lack of power.
Did pay by paypal but cant remember which 'title' I used gift,goods etc. Will go and have a look...

found transaction but it doesnt tell me the reason it was sent ie 'gift', 'goods' etc

Is it a recommended part, did the seller specifically state that it would work with your vehicle?

Its not an original but OE spec. He was recommended on a Forum. He said it was original part number compatible.

The simple fact is he is not answering any emails I've sent to his business address.

I have now had a pm from another forum member saying that he is not necessarily a bad guy just useless at communication.... I want my £175 back....

Dont know as havent tried.

I posted on the forum that I was having trouble without mentioning any names and have had several pm's from other posters naming the chap in question. Seems he has a reputation of non communication!
