My Hotmail has changed

No. Get used to it or ditch it.

Has anyone found a solution to the 'can only select 1 item in inbox' problem?

Used to be I could tick the boxes to the left of e-mails, and select multiple e-mails for deletion. Now, I select the first, and when I select the second, it de-selects the first, a little box pops up saying '1 item' then disappears as fast as it appears...... net result, I can only select one at a time....

What gives?

I think it's a temporary glitch. I had that with the old format quite a few times. I have the new one now and it works for me.

In answr to the OP, I'm not bothered with how it looks, as long as I can get/send my emails.

still works as normal for me, I've just had a clean out.

Doesn't happen to me.

I click one box, the line gets highlighted blue. I can then click another box and that also highlights in blue.

Using 'shift' also works for multiple selections.

I think it's just over-sensitive and a glitch they'll sort out soon. You can select more than one item but you need to make sure the cursor is in the shape of a hand not the arrow. I find if I hover the cursor just outside of the little box I can multi-select messages to delete.

you could tick the box at top of page, and select all, then untick the ones you want to keep.
