Help: Have problem with Entourage and Microsoft Office on my Macbook Pro

I have got the latest Macbook Pro laptop. Last week i updated a software update for my Microsoft Office 2008 package i have on the laptop. Afterwards i went to open my Entourage email program which i use for my business emails and it comes up with an error message

'This identity cannot be open with this version of Entourage'

And won't let me open it up and view/check/send emails.

Also with the Word, Excel and Powerpoint programs it comes up with an error message saying 'There is a problem with Office Database' etc....

Any ideas, help, tips, advice.

Like to try and get this sorted out over the weekend so i can get on with my emails.
