IVA & a Joint Bank Account

I am just about to apply for a IVA with 23k worth of debt.
Does it matter that both mine and my partners wages are paid in to the same bank account? Even though we don't live together?
The debt is all in my name and nothing to do with her.
Also Debitfree Direct have advised me to write letters to all of the credit card companies i owe and ask them to accept a token payment and cancel all my direct debits for the minimum monthly payments? Is this correct?
Many thanks

Yes, just gone through the same, although i believe you would be better having a seperate 'safe' bank account if debt not in joint name,as debtors can take money from that account if your debt is linked with that company.0

You should probably look at closing down any financial links with your partner although it's more important to make sure that your wages are not being paid into an account with a bank that you have ay debts to!Would you ask the wolves to look after the sheep?
