ESA Claim

Hi I started a claim for ESA a month ago, received a letter that agreed I was entitled, yet I have not received a payment yet. How long before they start paying?

Assuming you have submitted medical evidence then you should get paid a few days after the letter or on your first pay day.

Paydays are worked out by your national insurance number. 00-19 is a Monday, 20-39 is a Tuesday etc.

If the last two digits are an odd number then it is an 'R' cycle or if the digits are an even number it is a 'P' cycle. I'm pretty sure last week was a 'P' cycle.
