This company is part of the BISL Group and is a shambles. I would advise anyone to seriously not consider this or any of their other companies, when looking at insurance.
I recently cancelled a policy with them and wrote a letter of complaint to their head office on the 19th July. I received a letter confirming cancellation 3 days later and yesterday received a refund of policy premium back to my account. This refund had taken longer than is reasonable and is for a far less amount than expected. We have calculated the refund amount to include their extortionate cancellation charge of £38.00 and estimate that we are approx £60.00 short.
We have been on the phone for the last 2 days attempting to speak to this company regarding this matter and have now been on constant hold for approx 50 mins over 3 calls.
We have now rang the free phone 0800 number for quotations in an attempt to get to speak to someone, anyone!!!! Previous to this we were ringing the customer services number which has been costing us 5p per minute.
Now just hung up the phone again after holding for another 10 minutes with no contact other than their please hold messages and bloody music.
I am concerned about this company and their lack of service so if you are looking at this company, look long and hard past their supposed bargain prices.
And for all those out there who want to respond and tell me how it's my problem and I should just accept it, don't bother posting because I had a buch of self righteous, jumped up, obnoxious, rude and ignorant and arrogant a##e holes respond to my last posting. Just don't bother. Thgis post is advisory and for the benefit of others.

I thought I should add a further post regarding poor service from Quotemart or Quote Mart (part of the BISL Group). I also received no notification of an automatic renewal for my house insurance (October 2011), although they say it is in my policy documents of 2010. I had found another insurer as whilst looking around for a good quote I had included going onto the Quote Mart website logging on to access my policy details (which were unavailable at the time) and tried to obtain a new quote to see how the would fair. It stated that they could not provide me with a quote at that time, I tried this many times so no doubt they had stopped this facility online. I thought nothing of it and went on with another insurer. But low and behold a week after my insurance due date I received a letter and schedule from Quote Mart thanking me for insuring with them again! They had taken over £250 out of my bank account. I contacted them to complain and request my money back and I am still waiting 8 days later. Phoned them again and now they say there was an error on their system and they have re-issued the refund. Apparently they no longer quote for new business which is rather a worry. Just want to say be very careful if you insured last year with Quote Mart as they will automatically renew without any notification whatsoever. I would like to hear from anyone else who has has had trouble with this company. As with the other poster - I was left on the line whilst the adviser was 'trying to find a Manager'. I eventually put the phone down as 5p per min was being spent by me for the privilege. Please be very careful if you are considering re-insuring with this company. Also I will add that the renewal price was way over any other quotes I had found.0

I can only recount my own experience of QuoteMart car insurance.
When I took out the contract, I received a pdf confirming my cover. On page 4 out of 26;-
(page 1 was useful phone numbers, page 2 was blank, page 3 was the payment details)
it told me automatic renewal would take place from the given payment method, unless I called them on the given number.
On the same page, it provided details of the charges for cancellation and administration.
When I approached renewal and didn't wish to remain with them, I called them on the number given and told them this. They expressed regret that I wished to leave, promised me my no claims confirmation would be with me in seven days (which it was) and thanked me for my business.
