New Ipods are out

Nice to see they've changed the Nano, hopefully it'll be more scratch resistant. The improved battery life is good too.
I can't stand what they've done with the Shuffle though. Firstly, the clip looks rather annoying, and more importantly, they've got rid of the usb connection. Now you have to use it with the dock (unless I'm wrong?) which restricts where you can use it. I like the fact that I can plug my Shuffle in anywhere without needing a lead or dock. Think I'll be sticking with the older Shuffle, or buying another brand.
iTunes 7 too, yuck. Bloated, resource hungry, far better alternatives, DRM, expensive prices, restricted choice. Says it all."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -
I have been waiting for these as DD wants a pink one and I don't want to leave it until xmas and then have problems getting one.
Please can anyone tell me if Apple direct has a good aftersales service, I usually buy electrical items from stores that you can return faulty items to without hassle, but will it be a while before Boots etc gets these new models
many thanks0 -
I got a 30GB Videoa ipod from their online store and have had a faultless service so far.
Speedy delivery and excellent communication. Smile, you only get one life, LIVE IT.0 -
SO what happened to the wide touch-sensitive screen and bluetooth??????
Are they reserved for the next release in a couple of month's time to rip people off or is this the end of an era and the begining of the iPod's death?Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????0 -

Apple will always refer you to a Service centre that is near you, either a Apple store or a Apple Premuim Reseller ( The old Apple centres)
They give you 90 free telephone support.
So it doesnt really matter were you buy it from, buy it from Apple if you want it quickly0 -

Shame that picture of the widescreen Ipod which looked a bit like a PDA looked kind of cool0 -
2GB Nano for under a hundred quid is pretty good now. I have a 30GB Ipod video but have been thinking of getting the wife a Nano for a while now0

Can someone please tell me how you charge an Ipod Nano ? Do you do it through the computer via USB or do you get an adapter that you can plug straight into the wall ?
Thanks in advance****************************0 -
