  • We don't drive but my dad has a corsa - we ended up getting a Graco Mosaic travel system and it fits in the boot of the corsa no problem, its an ok pram, very light weight which suits us as we have 10 steps up to our house, we've been using it for 6 months now continuously, it gets a lot of use on and off buses and I'm beginning to think that it won't last much longer, so I'm not sure if that would be ok for you, as it maybe wouldn't get so much wear and tear as ours did with using the car? Have you checked in places like Mothercare, babies r us or Woolworths? The people who run their baby sections are usually very helpful and will let you try things out in your own car...

we have a graco mirage travel system & it fits in mum's corsa no problem.
Cleaning the house while children are growing is like shovelling snow when it's still snowing!
  • The best thing to do is go to a shop that sells a variety of prams and park outside and try them in the boot.

That is precisely what we did, and we found our perfect pram. For us though, we had a large boot so there were only a few that wouldn't fit in the car.
  • Hi,

We have the Freeway and I have to say, it is unlikely to fit in a Corsa. We have a Meriva and it only just fits in the boot of that (with about 1cm clearance at each end).

I'm going pram hunting tomorrow and liked the freeway, but have an Agila which I guess is more corsa sized than Meriva?

Are you pleased with the pram as a whole?
    Thanks!

Hi, I have viewed most prams over last 3 months now and Freeway is by far my fav!!! I LOVE it in blossom or sienna!!! ALL the features are fab, looks like proper pram but seems compact. We have have several pram fittings at mothercare and quinny was only one that fit and t they did that i liked!! but for what it is it is too expensive as have to buy shopping basket and loads of other accessories. silver cross is still dear but it is a well known make and car seat is only £65ish, pram is around £279, rain cover, parasol and bag £50 ish. i have seen it on internet cheaper than shops!!:o

i did that at mothercare but 3 prams and car seats later, i felt as though i was a real pain for the assistant!! I suppose that is what they get paid to do but it is agro!! i will try the freeway at a shop in town and see if it fits!!
  • YOu could always do what we did - stupidly didn't think there would be a problem with our silver cross, so just bought it - it didn't fit in our car without the parcel shelf - so we bought a new car!!!
  • We've ordered the new Silver Cross 3D pram system - it's a bit smaller so might fit better but still looks like a proper pram. I really, really wanted the Sleepover (same size as Linear but "classic" chassis and was set to order it - until I met a friend of a friend in Debenhams with it! She said she struggles to get it in a 4x4 and the constant splitting into 2 parts is a real pain. We have a VW Golf and I'm determined not to buy a new car for the sake of a pram!

I've had to compromise - the 3D for anything involving a car journey, and we're being given a second hand Silver Cross coach built pram - very posh! - which we'll keep at home for walking trips around the village, beach, woodland walks etc. You can still pick them up on ebay quite often, and they feel like real Mary Poppins prams!
