thoughts on the ipad...i have a netbook and thinking

of selling this and getting an ipad instead . any thoughts on it? thanks in advance.

    You must be mad. You can only install apps from the Apple Apps Store. Wifi is flakey and if you want 3G, it'll cost you another £100. You can't plug in a dongle because there is no way to install drivers. You can only run one app at a time because Apple disabled multi-tasking.

    What do you use your laptop for and why do you think an iPad would be a good idea?

    I have an iPad it has not replaced the laptop but I now do a lot on it that I used to do on laptop.

    Yep. I sold my Asus 901 netbook and got an Ipad wi-fi 16Gb. No regrets. (NB iPad is jailbroken)

    Thats probably voided your warranty , hope you not break the screen or Apples update bricks it.

    Can you now visit flash sites without a problem? I took mine back because of the lack of flash - I didn't have the courage to jailbreak - but would like to give them another try.

    i believe flash isnt suppoted on apple stuff esp ipad

    I have seen this flash/html5 convertor on the website below, don't know if it fully up and running yet as I cannot even get iPad in Philippines yet.

    My only use for an iPad is for my spread betting and day trading as I hate being stuck indoors all day and most laptops only last around 2 hours if running on battery power.

    Also isn't IOS 4 going to take care of the multi-tasking later this year?
