Tree Surgeons.!!!!!

Ok firstly why do companies spend hundreds of pounds advertising in the Yellow Pages or Thompson.. publications only to :

1. Not answer their phone
2. have the line dead
3. have an answer phone they do not listen to.
4. Not want any work!!!

We have a willow in the back garden.. needs it two yearly hair cut.. to get it back under control.


Our old tree surgeon.. is now living it up in Spain somewhere.. so we needed a new one..


So working our way through the yellow pages on those that are near.. I have had what feels like hundreds.. not pick up their phone.. (Mobiles & Fixed).. not return messages.. arrange to come out to see the job.. and not turn up.. or find that the line is dead..


In fact of those companies who have answered the phone.. a few have telephoned back.. and three actually have made an appointment.. and then have failed to turn up ..


Now the shear fact they fail to turn up does this mean there is soooo much work for tree surgeons.. that they don't need it..


Are they the new plumbers.. ????

sounds annoying I had to get a tree felled recently, I got a list of 'recommended' tree surgeons from my local council. The info might also be on the council websites too, not sure. Anyway, almost all picked up the phone...
