egg loan

hi im after a little bit of advice please, i got an egg loan for a car about 5yrs ago which i then added to to get a differnent car so in total a loan for 10.000 which i paid till i got into some trouble with money and got dmp through the CCCS which has been great, about the same time as the dmp was getting sorted i defaulted on the loan and they sold the loan to another company ( still to this day say it was egg's fault, i phoned up and asked for a "payment holiday" for the july and they agreed then i decided enough was enough and got a dmp sorted the same month so phoned egg up and told them all about it then few weeks later i get a default notice off them because i had missed julys payment even though it was going to be a holiday but because i was pregnant and ill at the time i didnt take it any further).
last week i got a letter/statement off egg stating my loan amount was 10,000 and 2,784 in ppi!!!!! i didnt even know i had agreed to this. can i claim this back even if they dont have the loan and im on the dmp with cccs? i really dont want to rock the boat incase they ask for the full amount back in one go.

anyone know if this is possible?

If defaulted, they always ask for it in full in 1 go, or threaten legal action.
Usually they will accept installments, basically the payments made on the DMP. However in some cases they will indeed follow through and get a CCJ. Although the repayment shouldn't be any higher than set by the DMP anyway.

The PPI might be reclaimable - http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance
More help, PPI Reclaim forum - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=169

I assume you only mean the PPI, the loan itself can't be reclaimed as that is what was agreed and paid out to you.
Also, if EGG have sold the loan they should not be asking for money, instead the new owner would. I however suspect EGG probably do still own this debt.

There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies
