When did you last update Ad-aware?
Maybe this sheds some light:

So i run Ad-Aware again, and it is still part of the tracking cookies highlighted for removal. I still havent been on any cashback sites. Any other ideas will be appreciated.
You seem to be putting all your eggs in one basket by relying on AdAware. Why not try Spybot? It can Immunise your system against many known threats. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
Ad-Aware was updated Saturday or Sunday. I have just checked to see if there are other updates available and the site has told me to update the very same definition file as quoted on the AumHa forum. I think it can be safely said then that what i was getting was a false positive when running the scan.

I did install Spybot an hour ago and had a quick nose round it but all it showed me was the security breaches such as Bearshare and the like. Mind you i did find a breach that i didnt understand called 'DoubleClick' but as i didnt know what it was i left it in case i broke the pc by deleting it. I couldnt actually see any spyware if i am making sense. I will have a further delve into its functions. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I have both on my system but I find Spybot very good indeed. After installation, get the latest updates loaded (tend to be released on a Friday) and then click on the Immunise button to add further protection to your system. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
