Just wondering, does anyone know if their flight prices tend to fluctuate up and down?
I checked summer '07 prices a couple of weeks ago and was given a total price of £800. This has now increased to £1050. I have flown with them twice previously (2005 and 2006) and the prices hardly changed from one year to the next however both these flight were booked the January before.
I suppose what I'm asking is if I wait until January to book is it likely the flights will have come down in price a bit again. This years prices even at £800 are already a couple of hundred pounds dearer than last year.
Thanks

My personal opinion is no. (but don't shoot me if that is wrong)
Globespan have x amount of flights are the low price and once they are booked, it then goes up to the next level.
Although they have 'sales' it's just to get rid of the cheap seats on flights that are not so full i.e mid week flights, non school holiday type of thing.
I book flights for my mum on Globespan every month and you need to get in early. I have booked the minute the email comes out with the link to new dates and then the next day, the prices have gone up.
Getting a rough price, then waiting couple of week before you actually book it can see them fluctuate hugely.
They are getting a bigger company by the day and more people are using them and with most of their sales being online bookings, the prices shoot up easily.
Have you also noticed that Globespan now include their taxes when you are selecting the dates ? So the price you see is the price you pay.****************************0 -
Thanks. I too thought that the earlier you booked the better the price. I am actually hoping to travel on the same dates next year as I did this year and just can't believe how much more expensive it will be this time round.0
