Repeat parking ticket

Hi my friend left his car in residents only bay whilst on holiday for the weekend and there were three parking tickets when he got back for each day. Does he need to pay all three or just one, also there was a clear sign nearby which is he missed so he cannot appeal on that basis. Any advice appreciated.

    Are these council PCNs ?
What does the sign say ? When was it put up ?

With zero facts supplied advice in not only impossible but would be foolhardy.

Yep all council PCNs, sign says resident permit holders only. And I have no idea when the sign was put up but it was there before he parked

If it is a suspension sign there is a high probability that it is outwith the Regulations.
    We need to see it.

    Which council is it.

Did you know that MOST Council PCNs can be appealed successfully if you get advice on pepipoo? Even when the motorist seems to be 'bang to rights'?

Your friend should register and post a new thread here, showing pics of the front & back of all 3 PCNs (all the small print and dates and times, just blank out the car details and the PCN Number):

    http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showforum=30

It doesn't necessarily matter if the signs were there in the first place (was it a temporarily suspended bay or was it a resident's bay all the time)? Either way, he could still get off the PCNs. If there's any appeal in the wording of the PCN then pepipoo will see it and advise of their opinion of success.

As well as pics of the PCNs he should also show pics of the bay lines and signs (the ends of the bay are particularly important). He should read the pepipoo FAQs on 'how to post pictures' first.

And if any of the PCNs were issued within 24 hours of the previous one then he can quite probably have those cancelled anyway at an early stage - but he needs advice really.

Tell him not to rush to pay any of them, instead rush to get advice on pepipoo.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
