At what point/where/how were my details obtained?!

which lender is your everyday card with ? I'm guessing not either of the 2 new ones that you applied to ?
the credit ref agencies would not know about the applications you made; the searches get recorded on your file, along with the searches made by millions of other people - nobody is able to monitor your file like that.
if you are still having problems, google for experian victim of fraud (uk, not us) and there are things to help you out.
My everyday card is with LloydsTSB, who i bank with
I still think it could be insider job at Virgin, but how would they have/know my everyday card details, just doesnt make sense?
Will google experian victim of fraud
Thanks again everyone0 -

This is an interesting avenue to explore. Work colleagues might also get the opportunity to sneak a look at your current CC if you didn't keep your wallet in your trouser pocket all the time.
Even if your immediate work colleagues are beyond suspicion, who does your IT support? My work contract it out to India, and I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them (which is why I don't do anything financially sensitive on my works PC).0 -
Have you run extra checks on the computer you were using?
My security software is up to date, but I ran AVG as a backup a couple of days ago and it claimed to have found and blocked a phishing programme on my computer. Maybe a keystroke logger?import this0 -
Perhaps someone a bit dodgy at the post office?0

No one in work could see my cc details, or knew i was applying online, but im not too sure about our IT dept or where they are based? I will take your advise and not do any financially sensative work on the works PC from now on, just not worth the hassle :mad:0 -

I had contemplated throttling the postman, and manager of the local sorting depot, especially when i went down there to ask why it was stil lredirected for 2 whole weeks, even after Royal Mail fraud dept assured me the redirection was cancelled BEFORE it was due to start  It took over 2 weeks for the instruction from their Fraud Dept to 'go live' in the sorting office, its disgusting0 -

well why would you be blaming the delivery office?
unless a redirection is cancelled then it is treated as live0 -
Who lives at the re-direct address that was on the water filter package? Have you investigated this?"If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0

Delivery/sorting office, becuase there was a 2 week delay between Royal Mail Fraud Dept being told about it, and the sorting office cancelling the unauthorised redirection, it doesnt take 2 weeks to pick up a phone or send/read an email i know that for one thing, Royal Mail were told 24 hours BEFORE it was due to start, and assured me it would be cancelled that day, yet 2 weeks on some scumbag was still getting my mail0
