Hi
I have had a quote from a local solicitor (S Wales), so I just wanted to check if the price was ok below for purchase and selling
£640 (inc VAT)

Disbursements
1. Local Search £76.00
2. Combined Coal Authority and
Environmental Search £70.15
3. Land Registry Search £4.00 (Registered)
4. Bankruptcy Search (per name) £2.00
5. Drainage Search £30.00
6. Land Registration Fee £200.00
7. Stamp Duty 1%
8. Chancel Repair Search £17.63
9. OS Mapping for search purposes (if needed) £6.99
Fees for selling were £580 inc vat plus disbursements (what do disbursements mean?)

I had a quote through an estate agents legal dept at £1300 but internet quotes seem to range between 500 and 900 so seems about right :-)0

disbursements = costs paid to 3rd parties
seems pretty competative (your local search is very cheap - usually most council's charge 100-150)0
