Ariels new Stain remover is on sale at Sainsburys at £4 at the moment. Both the powder and gel varieties were on offer. The usual cost is £8. I definitely recommend it as it gets rid of all the grass stains out of my OH's cricket kit.

Official MoneySavingExpert.com insert:

The Ariel stain remover is available at Sainsburys online and in store at the introductory price of £4 (for the 1kg packs) until Tues 17 Aug. Find your nearest Sainsburys.

Thanks 'look after the pennies' for the find.

Thanks for this OP! I got a £2 off voucher for this too from the self checkout till the other day, wonder if it'd work alongside the reduction?

wilkos also have the same instore for £2.98, not sure whether it's the 500g or 1kg. Saw it today but wasn't convinced enough to buy.:o

You can get the £2 voucher here: http://www.supersavvyme.com/product/triedandtested/ariel-stain-remover/ariel-stain-remover.aspx

Tesco also have Ariel Bio Powder 42 wash (3.36kg) plus a tub of Ariel stain remover for £6 instore. Good way to try I think if you are not too sure.

I saw an ad for this on tv the other night and wondered why ariel needed to bring out a stain remover as they always claim that their washing powders/liquids remove all stains anyway!!! That said I will probably get some as grass stains have to be the hardest thing to get out of clothes and my kids come home with green knees on a regular basis.

fyi my local only had 500g packs - but these were on offer at £3. I took my £2 off voucher to the till, and despite it showing an image on the voucher of a 1kg pack, it still went through, so only cost £1 :T

September 2016; out of debt and have savings for the saddest reason. RIP Aunty, I'll never forget you:(

  • I wouldn't bother spending your money on this - dropped a bit of pasta sauce on a t-shirt and it took over 5 washes and then it only came out after an overnight soak and another wash - waste of money - it would have been cheeper just to buy a replacement t-shirt.

  • 1kg Ariel Stain Remover is also on offer in Asda now for £4 too.
