Halifax faster payment not working

the date you have chosen is not available, the next available date is 02/08/2010.

Which is annoying as I wanted the transfer to happen today.

How often does this occur with Halifax? I see on the faster payments thread is says faster payments work sometimes !

It seems to be intermittent, this has been reported several times (mainly on the Budgeting and Bank Accounts forum).

If you keep trying during the day, it'll probably go through eventually.

I've tried various amounts, It won't even allow £1.

I'll try again Monday.

I just tried again this minute, with no problems.

What time are you trying to transfer money? I think it only works monday - friday during normal banking hours. I might be wrong, if so sorry.

I know the service never works in evening.

must just be me then, tried loads of times Friday day and Saturday.

Certainly won't be making this my main current account.

edit : crazy system, it wouldn't let me do £3000 but let £2499, now won't allow £501 ! ( next avail date 03/08 )
