Keep getting 'Credit Rejected' on AdditionsDirect

I recently signed-up to AdditionsDirect and got a credit limit of £250. I ordered an XBOX 360 Accessory pack for £59 and it got accepted, packed and shipped. I then ordered (or rather, attempted to order) a headboard, got credit rejected. An £8 bedding set, credit rejected and a TV, got credit rejected.

Why did they let me order one thing, and then lock my account (or so it seems)?

They've initially accepted your application with a low limit, and then when the underwriters had a nosey the next day they've obviously discovered something untoward and they've more than likely reduced your credit limit to £0.00. Have a look under "My Account".

You'll still be able to make min. payments on the existing orders until balance is cleared, and should report as settled once cleared on your file.
I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂

possibly they need a deposit from you. my first buy on littlewoods was a blackberry because of what the item was they needed a deposit of about £10. call them!
  • Yes - its just because you've ordered an expensive electrical item as your first product. Same thing happened to me. You will get an email in the next 24 hours asking you to call a number where you will be asked to pay £10 on a credit or debit card. Alternatively they can send you a letter with a payment slip on the back which you can make in a Post Office.

Once your deposit is paid your account will be fine and you can place more orders. Silly I know but thems are their rules
