Avon Arabian Glow Bronzing Powder

Has anyone used this and like it? I have ordered some as its currently on offer for £4, its supposed to be Avon's best selling item. My friend says it has an application sponge with it, do you use it all over your face or just as a blusher? It does look good in the Avon brochure.

    Hi Citygirl,
I've linked your question to the Avon hints & tips thread, so maybe the 'experts' on there will come & respond. I'm a rep and have not used this particular product but love Arabian Glow multistylo which I use on my cheeks. Looks very naturally sunkissed.

    Hi Citygirl

I have the bronzing powder, and love it! Whenever I put it on I always get lovely compliments, you look really well, have you been on holiday, your skin looks great... so it really works.

I personally put some on my nose, as it is shiny, dampens it down, a little on my cheeks, a tiny bit on my forehead and a tiny bit on my chin. It gives my whole face a nice glow, the sunkissed kind :)

Maybe you should try experimenting and see what suits you best? You may find just putting it on your cheeks is enough for you. I actually use a blusher brush to put it on as well. You just swirl it around the pot, and then apply very gently and not too liberally to your face. More like a light dusting.

    Hope this helps you.

I don't wear foundation, but I think if you do, this will still work perfectly over your foundation. It is like a blusher but golden, and makes you look healthy.

Thanks, I was thinking of using it without foundation actually to save me some money. Do you just use this on its own then and nothing else? Sorry for all the ?s.

Hi sorry, been jumping on and off lappy.

Don't worry about questions! That's why I am an Avon lady :) happy to help answer all questions!

Yes, I just use it on it's own, even with no other makeup and people really do notice the difference!

Thanks for that, so can I ask what other make up you use with it, ie moisturisers and eye or lip make up. I want to get the bronzed look right without being over the top if you know what I mean. Is this bronzer OK for summer and winter. I have heard its Avon’s best seller.

sorry still jumping on and off lappy!

I definitely use moisturiser, my skin doesn't like to go a day without it! I personally use Anew Day Moisturiser, and I mostly wear vaseline or lip salve on my lips, however, it complements lipsticks and eyeliners and eye shadows. So if you wear make up and put bronzer on, it makes you look sun kissed and beautiful.

If you don't wear make up and put on the bronzer, it still makes you look fresh and glowing. I get compliments with and without makeup. And I wear it all year round and on holiday!

Oh and it is a quick pick me up when you don't feel your best, just a quick dash around your face, even with makeup, including blusher and hey presto, you look gorgeous :)

Hi thanks for that. I have heard it comes with a sponge but my friend says she uses a brush. I quite fancy using the sponge as it seems more convenient, does this give the same effect?

It does come with a sponge, but I prefer the brush, it has a more natural effect. You can buy a blusher brush from anywhere, it should have a big head though, and use this, or Avon sell one.

The sponge, you might have to play around with the effect and when you don't have time, to brush and go... is much better!

Although you could try with the sponge, see how you get on and if you don't like it, buy a blusher brush with a big head.
