Spotted this Car sculpture on ebay, does this really look like a sculpture of a car or a drawing to you?.

Hmmmm, strange. I see what you mean. There is something very intangible about the photos. I'd saw they look more like drawings.trigger_mike wrote:Spotted this Car sculpture on ebay, does this really look like a sculpture of a car or a drawing to you?.
There is some info on the artist here. It appears that the sculpture exists (or existed) but there is no telling if this is genuine.0 -
it's real photographs, check the reflections in the shiny surfaces around the car and the room of the garage
the photo's don't look real because it's something you don't expect to see, your brain only sees these 'wireframe' images on a 2d screen, so, you can't easilly comprend a 2d photograph of an object in 3d space that should be 2d anyway
hope that makes sense
if the auction itself is genuine, who knows, i'd ask for proof before biddingmoney saving my @rse.
I've spent 10x as much as I would if I had never discovered this website :-)

Yeah i see what you mean about the reflections on the wet ground, but it just looks so strange, really like a drawing and not like wire.0

That is so cool! Really looks like a drawing, so if it's real I want one - will it look fake in real life?:wall:0

Why are there no shadows?Total CC Debt: £1750

because the light source isn't strong enough, the shadows are there don't make the background dark enough to register on the ccd of the camera taking the shotscheets99 wrote:Why are there no shadows?
if you put a 500 watt halogen spotlight just above the car and to one side then you'd see shadows,
if you check the one garage shot, just to the front of the car you can see a gentle arc following the contour of the car!
the camera being used isn't good enough to show the shadows properly, if he stopped the apeture down a bit and increased the exposure time, you may pick up the shadows better...................or just use a flash!!
the tubing used is just too thin to render a highly visible shadow with such soft lightmoney saving my @rse.

Yeah that's real.
Definitely a boys' toy. It's not exactly practical, but very good all of the same.0 -
