hi, i need a bit of advice
i sell things on ebay, have always taken paypal, cheque, postal order, no problem.
i've never tried the option of accepting credit card payments, does anyone have experience of this? is it safe for the seller (me)?
does this mean i get the payment straight away and its guaranteed to me? (and the buyer sorts it out later when their bill arrives).
also, does anyone know anything about nochex etc. ?what are they and are they safe for the seller?
would like to hear anyones experiences, thanks.

If you accept PayPal and have a premier or business account it is likely that you would have been paid via a credit card at some point.
Do you mean you want to have your own merchant account such as WorldPay?-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

I think - not sure though - that Ebay has put nochex onto their 'banned' list. They seem to think it is unreliable.:j30/7/10:j

Unless you are a big seller then accepting credit cards through merchant accounts can be costly as there are set up and subsciption fees. Better to stick with Paypal or Nochex.0

Totally agree with kevinyork..if you think paypal fees are high then you will be knocked sideways by merchant account fees. There is also no real advantage unless you are a shop or a trader with a huge turnover, you do get a little more control over who uses a credit card but are still subject to the dreaded chargeback for any reason.

Personally I would stick with PayPal. You can accept credit cards through PayPal anyway which is what you wanted to do. If you have a basic PayPal account just upgrade it to a premier or business so that you can accept card payments.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--
