Ebay Question card holders address

I have just been asked a question about sending an item to a different address than the one registered with paypal.
Basically I have an item that has a buy now of £90, in my terms it says I will only send to the paypal users confirmed address but the buyer wants to buy this as a present and to send it his sons address which just happens to be down the road.
Now I could send it or deliver it but whats to say the buyer tells paypal they didnt get it even though I did what they asked.
Best to leave alone or what do you think?

I would reply saying sorry but I can only post the item to the address stated on PayPal.

If the buyer were to start a PayPal dispute you would automatically lose as you wouldn't be able to provide tracking information confirming you posted it to the buyer stated on PayPal.

just as I thought. I also have a nochex account so have asked the buyer to pay via them if he still wants item.

You could always take somebody with you and have them take a picture on their phone of you handing over the item.

You would then have undeniable proof of a delivery and receipt of the product.

not even worth the hassle, they may not be photogenic

DONT post to any address other than the address registered to the paypal account

they want another address, simple, pay using something else..............

to use paypal you MUST provide a tracking number, in this case, ONLY special delivery will cover you for the parcel

Nice idea. Except PayPal are unlikely to care. Even if you have a tracking number and signature they sometimes vote against you. You do not even get a chance to give other proof.
