Not sure if this is the right place to post, I'm a newbie!!!
Due to being on holiday, and not being able to get hold of them I had already renewed my 12 month free evening & weekend line retal about a month ago.
Recently received a letter from BT informing that my 12 month renewable broadband offer would automatically renew. I never actually knew that I was on a autmatically renewable contract so called to cancel as I know I can get better else where.
I wasn't making fuss at all and didn't even mention my line retal at all but was offered a one of £36 pound credit off my line rental bringing it to £8.54 per month and get to keep the free evening and weekends and old auto renew contract cancelled. And £5 off BT broadband option 1, so now £9.99 instead of £12.99 (use to get a £2 pound discount).
I know it not the best deal around and their prices are going up but it suits my needs and I get to keep my e-mail address, so thanks BT
