Samsung HR720 DVD HDD 80gb

Just bought a new DVD HDD recorder. Alright a new toy. Reviews said it had an electronic TV Guide but I can't find it? I rang Samsung CS and they said it meant videoplus which I said I didn't think counted as an EPG. Anyone got one of these and knows for sure?

I have 30 days to take it back and I really wanted the programme guide as a feature.

    I would have thought it would only have an EPG if it has a Freeview tuner. Does it?

    Its a Samsung HR 720 with 80gb hard drive.

    It doesn't have a freeview receiver.

    Sorry, I didn't read the original post properly or I would have seen it was an HR 720!

    No Freeview = no EPG . EPG's are only broadcast on Freeview and satellite.

    Personally,I wouldn't buy anything without Freeview capability now as it will be obsolete within a few years when analoge is switched off. OK, you can buy a set top box but setting up timed recordings will be a pain.
