To risk a slow stooze application or not

I'm going on maternity leave in 7 weeks and am trying to keep as much money sat offsetting our mortgage as possible.
Took out a first direct card for 0% BT in April - owe £12k on £13k limit.
Have virgin card with mix of BT and 0% spends owe £10,500 on £17k limit.
Tesco cc for monthly spend cleared every month. Currently owe £3k on £10k limit.
Everything owed could be paid off tomorrow as it is all stoozed into the savings account offsetting the mortgage. No other debt.
This debt is still less than 1/2 my salary.
So, am thinking of applying for a 0% on purchases for 12 months card (probably Sainsburys). But am worried about getting a rejection due to high perceived debt and still large potential spend on virgin and tesco ccs. If I were to be rejected how much of an affect will it have on my otherwise spotless credit rating (NEVER missed any payment, never before been refused credit).
Can't help but be tempted by a slow stooze!

Even if you were rejected for the Tesco card I believe it would have little to no effect on you credit rating. Its just another search on your file, nothing else. Rejection in itself is nothing to worry about. Any organisation searching your file can only conclude that you have been rejected by seeing Tesco's search, and no record of the open credit account. The effect of this observation will be outweighed by the good conduct of your other accounts.
I would suggest you make an application and if you are rejected due to the level of your perceived debt, hold fire on further applications until one of your current 0% deals has ended. Thats what I did when Satander rejected my application for the Zero Card earlier this year. Further credit card applications have since been successful.0
