I hired childrens entertainers for my DD's 7th birthday - they were called Tracy and Al and were really good - magic tricks, face painting etc - I think they even had a real rabbit in a hat. DD is now 22, so it was a long time ago, but they're still in business as I see their van parked in Asda carpark quite often (and the van looks pretty decent so they can't be doing too badly). My older son and his mates were unimpressed as T&A were quite traditional and didn't have any techno tricks, but the little ones were enthralled so I'm sure your 4 year old would like them.0

I know Chunkie Russell is supposed to be very good if that helps.
JxxAnd it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end0 -
Is he/she into the Swans? I know Cyril the Swan can be hired out. He joins in with all the kids games. There is a pub in the Hafod 'The Globe' the landlady has just bought a bouncy castle which will be the right size for a 4 year old.0

:rotfl: Actually, DH (season ticket holder) took her to her first game at the Liberty on Saturday, she seemed to enjoy it - i think??? just didn't like the long walk home - awwww
As for Cyril - i used to do the hiring out myself when i worked at the Vetch a few years back, not having that nutter at my daughter's birthday party  - only joking, she doesn't really realise who he is yet, thanks for the idea though, will think about that when my son get's a bit older, maybe he'll do it for free for me, being old colleagues of course
Do you know the landlady in the Globe then? How much does she charge to hire the bouncy castle?0 -

Thanks for that, what a coincidence. They were the entertainers at a party DD went to the other night. Well, just Al i think, no Tracy. I didn't really take much notice of what he did to be honest, you know what it's like, mums chatting etc. I know a lot of little ones got up and started running around about two thirds through, but DD was one of the last ones standing, so was also one of the first to get a balloon animal. I actually have a card, i think that he gave out, so will check them out.

Eddie a nutter?:rotfl:
Christine is the landlady is she my auntie. She bought the bouncy castle for her grandaughters birthday, there is a function room upstairs in the Globe but I'm not sure how much she charges:rolleyes:
Glad she enjoyed the football I've been taking my daughters for years. You mentioned a long walk home! Not sure where you live but there is a bus that goes from the Dyffryn Club in Morriston which is £2 return. The bus takes you down at about 2ish and picks you up straight after the game. The club is children friendly plus there is not a queue for the bar:beer: Has she joined the Cyril the Swan cygnet club? There are some good offers for £5.0 -
Thanks very much.
I will give her a ring on Monday to find out about the bouncy castle and function room. Or if you speak to her before then could you let me know.
The only concern i have is that if the bouncy castle is outside, her birthday is in October and knowing swansea weather it will probably be peeing down:(
We do live quite close to the stadium - cwmbwrla, but the long walk home is up courtney street - very steep for a little 3 year old's legs:D
Will get DH to check out the cygnet club for her.

Hi mellyp
I'm aware of some children's entertainers in Swansea called Loopy Lews - they did a may day event up at the Plough and Harrow, and were pretty good, what was suprising was that they held the older children's attention too!
I think you can find them in the yellow pages - they're a married cpl and go out as a cpl, I don't remember them having live animals - but they did have a floating chair trick that was cool!
hope this helps
Kind regards
