Getting stuck in a web site

Is it just me that finds it annoying, when websites will not let you return to your browser. When you press the " go back one page button", while using this marvellous site, you will eventually get back to your browser home page, ready for another trip along the digital super highway. However, a lot of sites do not seem to let you come out of their home page. Or am I just showing my ignorance, and missing something obvious?
Any comments on the subject will be much appreciated.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

    Do you have an example?

It used to be fairly common, but it now seems to be more rare - thankfully. It is extremely annoying - an arrogant attitude that suggests that you would not want to go anywhere other than their website.

On every browser that I've used, you can get around it by clicking the "back" button on your browser twice in quick succession.

Or use the little "arrow down" button right next to the back button to go n steps back...

or, if you want your home page, hit the home icon at any time :)
    ......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D

It normally happens on redirecting pages. For example, if https://www.stuck.com was one such site (it's actually just an ad page thing) and the only code on that page instructed the browser to move on to https://www.stuck.com/page1, when you press back on https://www.stuck.com/page1, it takes you back to https://www.stuck.com....which then redirects you back to the other page.

As fwor said, click back twice quickly, before the redirect page has a chance to load.
    Squirrel!
If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
    Now 20% cooler

Arrogance was also a thought that went through my mind as well fwor.

I had never noticed the home icon before. Thanks for that GunJack.
