Removing starware -problems

Hi
Hope you can help I use bt yahoo and the computer did an update and seems to have installed starware. I am not sure exactly what this is but dont really like it plus if I use my old web page browser I am now having problems as it is not opening the pages and saying java browser problems. I tried resetting the compurer but this has not worked.
Is starware safe, am I better getting rid of it and how on earth do I get rid of it ?

    It's spyware/hijacker/adware.

    See here for removal instructions:

Adaware or SpyBot may remove it.

I went to the site you posted and downloaded spyhunter as it recommended for removal. However spyhunter only scans and will not remove it without subscribing .Is there any free software for removing starware as I already have ad ware and it has not worked.
  • Ewido Anti-Spyware eats Starware for breakfast.

Sorry, Cat72, I didn't make it clear that I meant for you to follow the manual removal instructions, not download any software. But if Ewido removes Starware then that's your best option.

Thanks for all your replies :T as I finally got it sorted .
If you download Edwido and I also found it was linked to the new internet explorer Beta package so I removed that and everything sorted. Phew !!
