Thorpe Park Weekend or Weekday?
Midsummer
I want to take my children to Thorpe Park in the next couple of weeks and wondered whether, during the school holidays, there is any difference in volume of people either on the weekends or during the week. I have little holiday remaining from work so would prefer to keep leave days to times that are definitely weekday activities - but I want their experience to be enjoyable and not to suffer huge crowds on a weekend - if that is the case. Can anyone advise? Thanks.

Always gonna be busier on weekends because that's when most parents would be off work, regardless of the kids being in school or not.0

Ive been to Alton Towers on weekends and Bank holiday Mondays before, i have seen it alot busier in the week, probably because people will think it will be busy on a weekend/.bank holiday so they go in the week instead !0

We have Merlin passes and found the same as the above poster that it was really busy in the week during the school holidays at Thorpe Park, but was actually quieter on a Saturday when we went. The best day to go to Thorpe Park is when the weather is predicted not to be good or it is actually raining from early morning. Teenagers love TP, but there is not a lot for younger children, so in our case we drop our teenage daughter off with her friends and head for Chessington with our 8 year old and return later to TP to use the beach bit. Also if you can go on a school inset/training day, it will be less busy we have found.0

We live right next to it and its packed at the moment. School holidays make sure it is always busy. Same with weekends. Add to that they are resurfacing the road that its on, means I go a back roads way if I want to go the supermarket!Member for a long time only recent poster
